Jazz Vespers with Mama Blue - Join us at the end of Romanza Festivale for an evening of jazz with acclaimed singer Mama Blue. Our Jazz Vespers is an informal service of readings, prayers and delightful music, and it is open to the public. following the service there will be a Wine & Cheese reception in the Mission House. Jazz Vespers will be taking a sabbatical for the summer and the next Jazz Vespers will be September 21.

Paul-Gordon Chandler is the former Rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church in Cairo, Egypt and the founder of Caravan, a non-profit organization promoting Christian – Muslim relations through the arts. He is accompanying Mohamed Abla, an outstanding Muslim artist from Egypt who will be in St. Augustine as a visiting lecturer at Flagler College.
St. Cyprian’s to Host Benefit Symposium ... HEEDING THE CRY!: How Our Traditions Call Us To The Civil Rights Movement. The St. Augustine Jewish Historical Society is presenting a symposium and Wine & Cheese reception at St. Cyprian’s on Wednesday, April 9 at 7pm. This fund-raising benefit is to support Justice, Justice: The 50th Anniversary of Mass Arrest of Rabbis in St. Augustine on June 18, 1964. Rabbi Joshua Leif of Congregation Araveth Chesed in Jacksonville, and the Rev. Ted Voorhees of St. Cyprian’s Episcopal Church will discuss the teachings of their faith traditions about civil disobedience, non-violent protest, and human rights. A $20 donation is suggested.
