The "Let Freedom Ring" Chimes Project was dedicated on Wednesday, April 4 ... the 50th anniversary of the assassination of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.  The $150,000 public art project was a collaboration of Compassionate St. Augustine, the City of St. Augustine, and Keep Riberia Point Green.  The fourteen pentatonic contrabass chimes were sponsored by various groups, usually in honor or memory of some event or person having a significant role in the African American and Civil Rights timeline of Lincolnville and St. Augustine.

St. Cyprian's Episcopal Church has sponsored a chime for the Rev. Fr. Peter Williams Cassey, the first Vicar of our church, and resident of Lincolnville (see article below).  An anonymous donor has given us a grant that will match every gift for the Fr. Cassey chime up to $2,500.  If you would like to donate please send a check to St. Cyprian's office, or put it in the plate on Sunday with "Chime" in the memo line.
